Our Team

As MediSync’s President and CEO, Bob Matthews draws upon his extensive experience as Executive Director of three medical groups for over 13 years. During his tenure, the groups expanded physicians three fold, increased payer contracts by more than 45%, and developed and deployed chronic disease management programs that led the nation in outcome results. He helped to greatly enhance medical group financial performance, resulting in increased physician compensation.

Dr. Douglas Romer is board certified in family medicine and has practiced for more than 30 years in Dayton, Ohio. He is MediSync’s Vice President of Clinical Care Improvements and a practicing physician with PriMed Physicians. For PriMed, Doug has served as the Director of Quality and Care Redesign. In this role, he has led multiple initiatives, including improvements in treatment for chronic conditions. Doug completed his Family Medicine residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, after earning his medical degree at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bob Roettker is a Certified Public Accountant; he has earned his MBA in Finance and Information Systems and his BSBA in Finance and Economics from Xavier University. Bob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has Black Belt training in Six Sigma quality improvement methodologies.

Charlie Hardtke has served as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for MediSync since 2003. With over 20 years of experience in the banking, life and health insurance industries, Charlie has served in a diverse number of roles. Most recently, he established and ran an international outsourcing firm focused on solutions for the insurance industry. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Operations for a life and supplemental health company. Throughout his career, he has successfully set strategic direction, built management and operational infrastructure, and managed day-to-day operations.

Rebecca Algren is MediSync’s Chief Analytics and Value Administration Officer in which she supports medical group clients with business analytics, and value-based care program administration, and through leading the MediSync project management office. Rebecca’s educational achievements include an MS in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University and a BS in Pre-Medical Studies and Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. Throughout her 12-year MediSync, Rebecca has progressively expanded her scope of responsibilities and impact following previous healthcare leadership roles at EyeMed Vision Care and Medpace clinical research.

Karen Davis joined MediSync in 2002 and she serves as the Vice President of Client Success, supporting the growth of our MedsEngine solution as well as the Vice President Specialty/Division Success for PriMED Physicians.  Karen completed her nursing degree from Spalding University and her MBA from the University of Louisville and she combines clinical expertise with strong business acumen.  Prior to MediSync and PriMED Physicians, Karen spent seven years as the Director for Managed Care Operations with Fidelity Healthcare as well as two years at Miami Valley Hospital as the Manager of Quality, Utilization and Infection Control.
