Robert E. Matthews
President
Mr. Matthews has extensive experience in healthcare consultation and management with hospitals, insurance companies, and medical groups. He has expertise and experience including network management, provider contracting from both the insurance company and provider perspectives, financial and operations planning, performance metrics and management, organizational performanceincentives and quality improvement. Mr. Matthews has completed Black Belt training in the Six Sigma quality improvement methodologies.
Robert E. Roettker, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Roettker is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. He earned his M.B.A. in Finance and Information Systems and his B.S.B.A. in Finance and Economics from XavierUniversity. Mr. Roettker is an advanced member in the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has Black Belt training in Six Sigmaquality improvement methodologies.
Mr. Roettker has over 24 years of health care financial management and accounting experience. His roles included financial analysis, cost accounting, management engineering, budgeting andreimbursement at a multi-hospital health system. Mr. Roettker has experience in the successful implementation of several information system conversions including patient registration, patientbilling, collections, case-mix management, general ledger, accounts payable and payroll.
Charlie Hardtke
Chief Information Officer
Mr. Hardtke serves as the Chief Information Officer for MediSync. With over 20 years of experience in the banking, life and health insurance industries, Mr. Hardtke has served in a diverse numberof roles. Most recently, he established and ran an international outsourcing firm focused on solutions for the insurance industry. Prior to this, he was vice president of operations for a life andsupplemental health company. Throughout his career, he has successfully set strategic direction, built management and operational infrastructure and managed day to day operations.
Mr. Hardtke has extensive background and experience in IT, project management, process improvement, measurements, and strategic and tactical planning. He has a Bachelor degree in BusinessAdministration, Information Systems from the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Douglas A. Magenheim, MD, MBA, FACP
Medical Director
Dr. Magenheim attended Miami University and graduated in 1984 in Chemistry and Political Science. He completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1988, andcompleted his residency at University Hospital in Cincinnati in 1991. Dr. Magenheim is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and has a clinical practice in Cincinnati. After completing a two-yearphysician management and leadership program at Xavier University in 1993, he completed an MBA from Xavier in 1997.
Dr. Magenheim was awarded a visiting fellowship at Cambridge University, England in 1991, and was named one of the "Top Eight Young Physicians" by the Ohio State Medical Association. He isactively involved in the Cincinnati Society of Internal Medicine, Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, Ohio State Medical Association, and was named a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Magenheim has previously been employed as a Medical Director at ChoiceCare for SeniorHealth, a Medicare HMO.
Kathy Beighle
Director of Financial Analysis
Ms. Beighle has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She has extensive experience in provider contracting from both the health plan and the provider perspective. In addition,Ms. Beighle creates financial projections, performance analyses and knows both budgeting and underwriting. Many MediSync clients benefit from her expertise in contract negotiations, business planningand management of daily operations.
Prior to joining MediSync, she was the Executive Director of Financial Systems for ChoiceCare, the largest Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Herresponsibilities included provider reimbursement, contract negotiation, budgeting and forecasting of medical expense, risk assessment, performance analysis, and group underwriting. Ms Beighleparticipated in the successful negotiation of many provider and employer contracts while at ChoiceCare.
Ms. Beighle has a B.S degree in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University. She also completed the Negotiation Skills Course at Harvard University and the Zenger- Miller Leadership DevelopmentSeries.
Susan M. Miller
Director of Marketing and Communications
As director of marketing, Susan is responsible for all aspects of marketing and communication for MediSync as well as its provider partners. Susan has worked in health care marketing for nearly 15years for such organizations as Humana Health Plans, Mercy Health Partners and Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield. She is also responsible for developing and implementing market research projects,advertising and public relations as well as internal communication and training programs.
Susan received her B.A. degree in Communications and Business from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati. She has served as a member of the American Marketing Association and the Society forHealth Care Strategy Development.
Kathy Kraushar
Product Manager, MediSync E&M Coderight
Kathy Kraushar has eighteen years experience in physician development, physician contracting, product development and healthcare sales/marketing. She was directly responsible for developing aphysician recruitment/relations program for Deaconess Hospital, placing physicians in both the hospital and private practice setting. She consulted with physicians regarding practice site development, practice management, contracting and practice education. Kathy was also instrumental in developing a successful Senior Service product line enabling the hospital to deliver new services to the Long Term Care community thus substantially increasing hospital revenue.
She also served as the Executive Director of First Health Partners, a PHO responsible for PacifiCare and Humana Managed Medicare contracts. As such, she was responsible for physician contracting,credentialing and member management, which included case management, utilization review, claims processing and customer service.
Beverly A. McMillan
Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
Ms. McMillan has worked in medical office management since 1979. She has had extensive experience in all three perspectives of billing and claims management, including the hospital/facility side,the insurance payor side, and the physician office side. Ms. McMillan has expertise in organizing and managing in the medical office setting. She also has extensive experience in training officestaff, and physicians in both office processes and medical coding.
Ms McMillan earned her B.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University, and attained certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders in August, 2000. She also has completedBlack Belt training in the Six Sigma quality improvement methodologies.
Lisa A. Crail
Human Resources Manager
Ms. Crail has more than 20 years experience in the healthcare industry, with the last seven focusing on Human Resource Management. Her diverse skill sets include recruitment and retention, policy,benefit and compensation management, employment law, and training and development. A blend of other professional activities and training include an active membership in the Society for Human ResourceManagement (SHRM) and the completion of Black Belt training in the Six Sigma quality improvement methodologies. Ms. Crail studied Communications at the College of Mount Saint Joseph.
