MediSync's Executive Leadership
Robert E. Matthews, President & CEO
As MediSync’s President and CEO, Bob Matthews draws upon his extensive experience as Executive Director of three medical groups for over 12 years. During his tenure, the groups expanded physicians three fold, increased payer contracts over 45%, developed and deployed chronic disease management programs that lead the nation in outcome results and helped to greatly enhance medical group financial performance, resulting in increased physician compensation.
Bob has Black Belt training in the Six Sigma quality disciplines and has led teams of physicians and staff develop processes for hypertension, diabetes, pediatric asthma, cardiac surgery and other medical quality initiatives.
A frequent speaker at medical conferences, Bob addresses all aspects of medical group performance, outpatient medical quality, medical group quality and other, related topics. Since 2004, Bob has participated in the University of Cincinnati's Physician Leadership program and previously instructed on physician organizational development at Xavier University.
Prior to MediSync, Bob had a national healthcare consultation practice with leading medical groups, hospitals and insurance companies, focused upon medical group formation, development and performance.

Robert E. Roettker, CPA, Chief Financial Officer
Bob Roettker is a Certified Public Accountant; he has earned his M.B.A. in Finance and Information Systems and his B.S.B.A. in Finance and Economics from Xavier University. Bob is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has Black Belt training in Six Sigma quality improvement methodologies.
With more than three decades of healthcare financial management and accounting experience, Bob’s roles have included financial analysis, cost accounting, management engineering, budgeting and reimbursement at a multi-hospital health system. Since 1997, his responsibilities have focused on managing physicians groups at the operational and strategic levels.
Charlie Hardtke, Chief Information Officer
Charlie Hardtke has served as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for MediSync since 2003. With over 20 years of experience in the banking, life and health insurance industries, Charlie has served in a diverse number of roles. Most recently, he established and ran an international outsourcing firm focused on solutions for the insurance industry. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Operations for a life and supplemental health company. Throughout his career, he has successfully set strategic direction, built management and operational infrastructure and managed day-to-day operations.
Charlie has extensive background and experience in IT, project management, process improvement, measurements, and strategic and tactical planning. He has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Information Systems from the University of Cincinnati.

William R. Ealy, Chief Operation Officer – MediSync Healthcare Solutions
Bill Ealy’s role is to identify, develop and market MediSync’s best-practice tools to achieve class-leading results. His leadership of E&M CodeRight® has enabled continued growth and successful for MediSync’s physician training program.In his previous position, Bill served as Executive VP of Sales and Marketing for the Key Family of Companies, one of the largest, independently-owned Third Party Administrators in the U.S., where he oversaw national sales strategies.
A proud graduate of the Ohio State University, Bill holds a BA in Economics. He has received continuing education from several business and insurance organizations, including FLMI, HIAA, the Purdue Professional Management Institute, Stanford Executive Program for Small Business and LIMRA Senior Marketing Officers School.
James Moffett, Executive Director
As Executive Director, Jim Moffett provides leadership and guidance to MediSync’s medical group partners. He directs the practice management operations teams and is responsible for leading the implementation of strategic and operational plans, while achieving financial and quality results, and assisting in the development of and collaboration with physician leaders.
Jim is a highly seasoned business executive. Prior to joining MediSync, he held leadership positions at Great American Financial Resources, including Executive Vice President for Operations where he was responsible for Cincinnati-based operations. Serving as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies, Jim provided expertise in re-shaping their strategies and improving their processes to optimize results. Earlier in his career, Jim held leadership positions in high-tech companies, including start-ups. A graduate of Geneva College in Pennsylvania, Jim earned his degree in Industrial Engineering.
Susan Miller, Director of Strategic Implementation
Susan Miller joined MediSync in 2003 as Director of Marketing and moved into a strategic project management role in 2006. In her role, Susan is responsible for overall planning, design, and implementation of projects within MediSync and its affiliated physician groups that advance the core strategies of exceptional patient experience and medical quality.
In addition to project management and oversight of marketing and communications, Susan also leads the organization's training initiatives.
Susan has worked in healthcare for nearly 20 years for such organizations as Humana, Mercy Health Parnters and Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield. She received her BA degree in Communications and Business from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati. She has served as a member of the Society for Health Care Strategy and Market Development.
